Yes, if you rent from us and are going to be away from your home for a month or more you must tell us.
If you receive Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, you must also tell your local council.
If you own your home, you don't need to tell us if you're going away. But please note that the building's insurance for your home might not cover all damage if you're gone for more than 60 days and there's no-one staying there.
